Enkianthus campanulatus 'Showy Lantern'

Bell-shaped flowers are larger than those of the species type and are solid pink in colour. Deep green leaves turn rich scarlet in autumn. 'Showy Lanterns' is also more densely branched to ground level.

Enkianthus campanulatus var sikokianus

A cultivar with noteworthy dark maroon buds and deep red flowers with streaks of pink appearing brick red. The flowers are held on distinct long pendulus racemes like a bunch of grapes. Blooms about a week later than most other cultivars of campanulatus. The new growth is reddish and the fall foliage colour scarlet.
