Euphorbia 'Black Bird'

A hybrid Spurge from England, this forms a bushy evergreen mound of dark purple foliage. Clusters of bright chartreuse-yellow flowers appear in the spring months and are very showy against the leaves. Nice in the border or in front of taller shrubs. Foliage may be pruned lightly in late spring, after flowering is finished, to maintain a compact, bushy habit.

Euphorbia 'Blue Haze'

Ice powder-blue foliage sprouts mounds of chrome yellow flowers that billow out from between the upright stems of foliage in summer. Foliage retains its cooling color and stems will take on an attractive pink tint as weather cools. Patented.

Euphorbia characias ssp wulfenii

A favourite of gardeners in mild-winter regions, usually used as a specimen plant or focal point in the winter and early spring border. Plants form an upright, bushy mound, the stems surrounded with leathery blue-green leaves that remain evergreen. Huge clusters of greenish-yellow flowers open in very early spring, contrasting beautifully with the foliage. A unique, bold sculptural plant. In colder regions this may be grown in a container and brought indoors to a cool, bright spot to winter.

Euphorbia polychroma

Outstanding for its display of bright golden-yellow flowers, over a perfect cushion of light green leaves. Excellent for edging, in the rock garden, or in containers. Unusual for cutting. Usually has beautiful red fall foliage colour. Plants can be divided in fall or very early spring. Trimming back hard (to 4 inches) in early summer will keep this bushy and compact.

Euphorbia polychroma 'First Blush'

The only hardy variegated Euphorbia. It is low growing, variegated pale green plant with white margins. New growth has a rose-pink tint. The flower buds arise blush-pink. hence the name 'First Blush'. Bright yellow flowers bracts adorn the plant in the spring and fade to match the foliage as they mature. 'First Blush' is ideal as a specimen plant and in the rock garden.
