Magnolia grandiflora 'Bracken's Brown Beauty'

Lustrous, leathery foliage is rich, dark green above and cinnamon brown underneath. Large, 5 to 6 inch creamy white flowers are exotically fragrant. Transplants well and does not lose as many leaves as other varieties. Has good cold hardiness. Evergreen.

Magnolia grandiflora 'D. D. Blanchard'

A magnificent evergreen tree with large, glossy dark green leaves with attractive, rusty-brown undersides. Open-branched pyramidal form makes an excellent shade tree. Huge cup-shaped flowers.

Magnolia grandiflora 'Victoria'

A magnificent evergreen small tree bearing 20 - 25 cm wide, cream coloured, fragrant, flowers in mid to late summer, even on quite young plants. The leaves are large, glossy and dark green with a felted pale brown underside. Introduced in British Columbia, this selection is rather hardier than other cultivars of Magnolia grandiflora and is therefore suitable for colder areas.

Magnolia x 'Leonard Messell'

The blooms of magnolias really do herald the end of winter and the beginning of spring. 'Leonard Messel' has beautiful pale lilac-pink flowers with 12 petals giving a star-like appearance. It has mid-green, narrow, oval leaves. Plants grow into a large shrub with an upright habit and in fertile soil sometimes form a small tree.
