Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Bluecrop’

'Bluecrop' is an upright, deciduous shrub with lance-shaped, mid-green leaves and attractive white flowers in spring. A blueberry cultivar popular with both commercial growers and gardeners, Vaccinium corymbosum 'Bluecrop' produces heavy crops of good sized fruit with a bright blue colour in late summer. The berries can be eaten fresh or used in baking, stewing or making pies. The leaves turn bright red and orange before falling in autumn.

Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Chandler’

Holding the distinction of being the world's largest blueberry, Chandler is a vigorous, upright, well branched plant with consistent productivity in areas where winters are not exceptionally severe. Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Elliott

'Elliot' is a more upright cultivar reaching to heights of 6 foot and spreading as much as 4 to 5 feet in diameter. Its leaves are a bluish green during the summer, turning to orange-red in fall. This deciduous shrub is dense with an upright, multiple-branched growth habit. Leaves are elliptical, and can be toothed or entire, to 3 inches long, turning red or yellow in the fall. White, sometimes pink tinged flowers to 1/2 inch across are held in pendant terminal racemes. Flowers are followed by edible, sweet, round, deep blue berries to 1/2 inch across. Very late season fruit.

The small, ovate, evergreen foliage looks good year round, has little urn-shaped flowers, followed by glossy, blackish-purple berries. The foliage is highly sought after in the florist trade for cut foliage. In a partial shade garden, the shrubs are a beautiful backdrop for mixed borders. In a full shade garden, grow it as a tall evergreen hedge. In a full sun garden, it will produce more berries but it will not grow as tall as it will in the shade garden.

Vaccinium vitis-idaea 'Koralle'

A low mat-forming evergreen from upper latitudes worldwide, lingonberry provides a year-round display of attractive foliage, flowers, and fruits. The compact selection 'Koralle' bears bears deep pink flowers all summer and produces larger and more prolific fruit over a longer season.
